Description |
Metal and wood model as per title. The body of the engine is painted black with red trim and wheels. Three of the valves on the top of the model are gold coloured. Embossed and painted yellow on the right side of the engine is "Waterloo Manuf'g Co/Limited/Waterloo, Ont". Embossed and painted yellow on the front of the engine is a lion's head with "Waterloo Mfg. Co. Limited/Waterloo, Ont" surrounding it. Black fabric cord used to make a belt for the engine. The wheels are movable. An enamelled gold pin is adhered to the back of the engine. It has an image of two people standing in front of grain stalks. There is a gold ribbon across the centre of the pin with "International Plowing Match & Farm Machinery Show 1995" stamped in it. Underneath the ribbon is "Waterloo Region" in gold lettering. |

History |
The models were souvenirs that were presented to major sponsors of the International Plowing Match and Farm Machinery Show held in North Dumfries Township in 1995. This particular model was displayed in the Regional Chair's office from 1995 to 2011. The 1995 International Plowing Match was held at the farm of Floyd and Doreen Moyer near Ayr, ON. |
