History |
The Dominion Tack and Nail Company was established in the early 1900s as a partnership between George Hancock Junior and John Eatough in Galt, ON. The company manufactured tacks and nails for the domestic shoe and hardware industries. At some point in its history, the company name was changed to Canadian Tack and Nail. As of 2012, the company is still in operation at its original location - 431 Dundas Street in Cambridge. The company produces and distributes specialty tacks and nails used in the marine, furniture, electrical, and construction industries. |
