Description |
Eight identical milk bottle caps made from waxed cardboard. They are circular with green and red graphics on a white background. "Burkhardt/Dairy" is printed in green along the upper edge with decorative red dots. There is a large red shape in the centre with "Pasteurized" printed on it. "Safe/Milk" is printed below in green. There is a brown pull tab with a metal staple in the centre of each cap. The reverse is blank. |

History |
Burkhardt Dairy was founded by Lloyd Arnold Burkhardt sometime in the 1920s. The dairy was located at the corner of Breithaupt and Lancaster Streets in Kitchener, ON. The dairy was purchased by Maple Lane Dairy in 1952. |
