Description |
Silver medal in the shape of a six-pointed star. In the centre of the star is the Royal Cypher GRJ VI with "THE AIR CREW EUROPE STAR" underneath. The reverse is blank. A suspension ring is attached to the uppermost point on the star. A second metal ring is attached through the first. A length of ribbon is attached through the second ring. The ribbon is 3.3 cm wide and consists of five stripes: black, yellow, blue (centre), yellow, black. The colours represent continuous service by day and night. |

History |
The Air Crew Europe Star was awarded for two months of operational flying from the UK over Europe between September 3, 1939 and June 5, 1944. 12, 800 of these medals were awarded to Canadians. |
