Description |
Transparent, moulded square glass ashtray. The corners are rounded and on two of the corners are indents for holding cigarettes. On the base of the ashtray is a white oval with a black and white image of the Preston Municipal Building. The image is placed diagonally on the glass. Printed below the image is "Compliments of the Mayor and Council/of the Town of Preston". No maker's mark. |

History |
The Preston Municipal Building was located in the former Ochs home on King Street. In the early 1960s, the Ochs home was demolished and a new municipal building was constructed on the same site. As of 2016, the building is now the Allan Reuter Centre at 507 King Street East in Cambridge. |
