History |
Blue Top was originally a brand of beer produced by the Huether Brewing Company in 1934. By 1936, the company had changed its name to the Blue Top Brewing Company due to the success of the brand. In 1948, a bad batch of beer reached the market and the company began to fail. New brands such as New Yorker Lager and Premium Ale were created but did not completely reverse the company's financial problems. In 1952 the company name was changed to the Ranger Brewing Company, which was sold to Canadian Breweries in 1953. The site continued to operate as Dow Brewery Limited until 1961. |
