History |
In 1899, the Getty & Scott Shoe Company was formed in Galt, ON by Francis Stewart Scott (1879-1943) and Edwin J. Getty. In 1906 the company was incorporated and it was well known across Canada for its Classic Shoe line. In 1912, Scott became the sole proprietor when he acquired Getty's interests in the company. The company was then renamed the Scott Shoe Company and continued operations until at least the early 1960s. |
