Description |
Female doll wearing an elaborate beaded parka. The doll's face is carved from a white stone. The hair is black wool and is arranged in two long braids. The parka is made from a light brown leather and has a large hood. The hood is trimmed with a grey fur. The lower edge of the parka is U-shaped and is much longer in the back than the front. The parka has beaded fringe in shades of blue, white, red, and black on the front. Tassels made from the same beads decorate the front and the back. A border of blue felt is used on the cuffs and along the lower edge of the parka. On the body of the parka, there is a white stitched border along the interior edge of the blue felt. There is a beaded border on the cuffs and along the lower edge of the parka. The parka is belted at the waist with purple and blue braided thread. The doll is wearing brown felt mittens stitched with orange thread. It is wearing a navy, floral print dress. The body is made from a floral checked fabric. The doll is wearing tall boots with white fur tops. The lower portion of the boots is light coloured leather with purple stitching. A length of braided orange and blue thread is tied around the top of each boot. The boots have red felt trim with purple and yellow stitching above the fur. |
