Description |
Three identical milk bottle caps made from waxed cardboard. They are circular with green and yellow graphics on a white background. "Buttermilk/Pasteurized" is printed in green lettering in the centre with yellow shapes on either side. There is a brown pull tab with a metal staple in the centre of each cap. The reverse is blank. |

History |
These caps have been attributed to Burkhardt Dairy as they were in the same bag as the other Burkhardt caps when donated. Burkhardt Dairy was founded by Lloyd Arnold Burkhardt sometime in the 1920s. The dairy was located at the corner of Breithaupt and Lancaster Streets in Kitchener, ON. The dairy was purchased by Maple Lane Dairy in 1952. |
