History |
Zarariah Hall (1866-1952) and Oscar Zryd (1873-1936) purchased the Parker Steel Range Company Limited in Windsor, ON in 1904. They moved the company to Grimsby, ON in 1907 and renamed it the Hall Zryd Foundry Company Limited. In 1909, the company moved to Hespeler, ON. The company manufactured stoves and ranges under the "Pilot" brand name until the late 1940s. The foundry was located at 95-102 Sheffield Street in Cambridge, and was destroyed by fire on September 15, 1950. Zarariah Hall was also heavily involved in local politics. He was on Preston council and was MPP from 1914 to 1919. |
