History |
Jacob Erb Seibert (1859-1956) was a son of Jacob Stein Seibert (1823-1904) and Elizabeth Erb (1825-1905) of Bridgeport, ON. Jacob purchased the Seibert House from his mother in 1902. He and his second wife, Rachel Ogram (1876-1956), and their seven children lived in the house. Jacob worked as a cabinetmaker. The house was originally located at 31 Albert Street South/31 Madison Avenue in Berlin/Kitchener. It was moved to Doon Heritage Crossroads, now Doon Heritage Village, in 1964 when the City of Kitchener expanded Charles Street. |
