From May 15 to 17, 1987, the Toronto Blue Jays played three baseball games against the Oakland Athletics at their stadium in San Francisco, California. The Athletics won two of the three games. This photograph was taken on a trip to San Francisco, California by Jeff Hutcheson and John Arajs. They were probably filming for the Blue Jays Banter television show which was produced by CKCO-TV and aired on all CTV stations across Canada. Jeff Hutcheson worked in various positions at CKCO-TV from 1977 to 1997. He joined Canada AM, a CTV morning show that broadcasts across Canada, in 1998. In 2016, Jeff announced his retirement and Canada AM was cancelled not long after. John Arajs (1943-2009) was a news photographer and cameraman at CKCO-TV for 42 years. |
