History |
Mary "Estelle/Estella" Kribs (1887-1977) was a daughter of William Abram Kribs (1859-1943) and Rhoda Fidilla Duffield (1863-1939) of Hespeler, ON. William was a local manufacturer, who owned several mills, a contractor, and former mayor of Hespeler. Estelle and her sister, Elizabeth "Viola" Kribs (1886-1978), never married. Later in life, they lived together in Hespeler. Viola trained as a nurse in the United States and served with the US Army during the First World War. She later became a naturalized U.S. citizen and continued to work as a nurse. Both sisters are buried in Cambridge's New Hope Cemetery. |
