Description |
Pre-printed form on brown paper. Receipt is probably the lower copy from a carbon paper duplicate receipt. The title is printed in black lettering along the upper edge with "Bought of". Printed below the title is "Phones 2400 - 2401" and "36 Benton Street". The receipt is addressed to "Kouhl". The remainder of the form is a list of products with spaces on either side. "Lbs. Butter @/Butter milk @/Sweet Milk @/Table Cream @/Whip. Cream @/Cones @/Bricks @/Ice Cream @/Ice @/Roselishus @/Eggs Extras @/Eggs Firsts @/Eggs Seconds @" are the products listed. "3 dg" is handwritten in pencil beside Ice Cream with "1.20" as the price. "Cheq/H.K." is also written on the receipt. The number "7" is stamped in red ink in the lower left corner. "Appleford Counter Check Book Company, Limited, Hamilton, Canada" is printed along the lower edge. The reverse is blank. |

The Rosedale Creamery was in operation from around 1919 to 1946. Irvin Owen Shepherd (1893-?) is listed as the manager and president of the company in the city directories. The creamery was located at 36 Benton Street in Kitchener. |
